Brush Permits

Brush Permits are required to be obtained on the day of the burn.

• Permits are issued on Class 1 & 2 Days, unless otherwise specified by the Fire Department
• Burning permits may be obtained Monday thru Friday 8:30am to 5pm at the Fire Station or on Weekend mornings from 8:30am to 10:00am

Camp Fire Permits

Camp Fire Permits are issued for the calendar year.

• Camp Fires must be for cooking or warming, must be no larger than 3' across and must be surrounded by a ring of rocks or concrete. 
• Camp Fire Burning permits may be obtained Monday thru Friday 8:30am to 4pm at the Fire Station or on Weekend mornings from 8:30am to 10am.

Online Fire Permits

Online Fire Permits may be purchased online through the State of Maine Web Site. They cost $7.00 and are good for a 2 day period. You must read all of the restrictions.  They do limit your burning to after 5pm and you must check to ensure that it is a Class 1 or 2 Day.

Class Days are posted by the State Forestry Department at approximately 8:30 every morning.  Click the following to access the updated Fire Danger Report.
